Military & Defence Fire Suppression Systems

Recent experience in warfare conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan has identified the need for additional fire suppression to protect vehicle fuel tanks, engine compartments, tires (and road wheels on tracked vehicles), and other external areas, from roadside bombs, improvised explosive devices and explosively formed penetrators. These threats have been used against both heavily armoured vehicles and tactical wheeled vehicles.

Firekill Systems had partnered with Lehavot Fire Protection specialists to address these various fire threats for the European market.

Lehavot has been a designer and manufacturer of lightweight, compact fire suppression systems for commercial and military vehicles for over 50 years and a wealth of modular lightweight technologies are already being installed on various vehicles both in the US and Middle East.

These solutions have been proven in the most extreme battle conditions with the use of patented linear hear detectors offering critical performance advantage in the field.

Lehavot’s Firesys linear heat detectors are as sensitive as smoke detectors as reliable as heat detectors and as fast as heat detectors deploying fire suppression medium in around 150 µs
